Live Next to Conway, South Carolina's Beautiful Waccamaw River
The Waccamaw River stretches its beauty from southeastern North Carolina to eastern South Carolina. The river, which flows from Waccamaw Lake is approximately 140 miles long winding through the Carolinas before draining into the Atlantic Ocean. As the river enters in South Carolina; it passes right through Conway flowing southwest through Horry County. Also, navagations were discovered in Conway where important commercial routes have been present in the region since the 18th century. The Waccamaw River is surrounded by soft sandy banks and old plantation homes providing breath taking views. The unique layout of the Waccamaw has also gained immense popularity over the years as becoming one of the most beautiful rivers to recreate in boating, fishing, skiing, and canoeing. The Waccamaw is also home to the City of Conway Riverwalk with landscaped pathways along the windy river making for a beautiful walk.
